Gratitude

“Captans Log”

Have you ever been in the same place 100 million times? I mean life is a repetitive set of habits and functions that occur over and over again. So as a creative person how do we breathe fresh air back into life? You know to see things fresh with out tainted eyes or opinions. Well I don’t know the answer. But I do know its possible because i’ve experienced that fresh perspective, without the use of mind altering drugs too. It happens when we have gratitude for our life. The threat of our life, as we know it, vanishing right in front of us can open our eyes to what we have. That goes for our possessions but I think our environment too. A small grove of trees I hadn’t seen before really opened up for me today. I felt surprised to see how magnificent these trees are. I really saw them as powerful forms of life and it bothered me to think that someone would ever consider cutting them down. They are under no current threat now but who advocates for the trees. So many magical trees have been chopped down to make room for whatever serves the humans who had them cut down. The gifts of trees are more abundant than we may even realize. Seasonal changes in the weather and light, temperature and moisture really affect the world we live in. Seasonal affective Disorder is some thing that many living creatures feel. What brings you up when your down? And thats all I have to say about that.
